The Impact of Structural BIM
Technology on the Design Process

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is changing the design and construction process.  What does it mean for Structural Engineers and the others they collaborate with?

Join Dr. Jean-Pierre Rammant, one of the pioneers in Structural BIM technology, for a discussion on how advances in BIM are:

  • Helping to connect today’s disjointed structural engineering workflows.
  • Giving engineers new ways of analyzing structures; giving them better results, faster.
  • Making it easier for engineers to work iteratively with architects to maximize a structure's performance while reducing materials.
  • Helping engineers better communicate ideas to owners and other non-engineers, and share documents with drafters, detailers and fabricators.
  • Reducing RFI’s (Request for Information) and allowing designers to work out constructability issues before they get on the job site.

Beer/Wine/Light Fare will be served, so bring a friend.

6:30 - 7:00 Reception,  7:00 - 8:00 Program

Featured Speaker: Dr. Jean-Pierre Rammant, CEO Nemetschek Scia
